Last weekend, Jay Adams of the JW SALT Team participated with his team, Fleur de Que, in the 7th Annual Hogs for the Cause (“HFTC”).
HFTC is a charity event that raises money for families impacted by pediatric brain cancer by sponsoring a bar-b-que festival in New Orleans’ City Park. This year, 80 teams smoked ribs, whole hog, and pork shoulder, cooked beans, and made sauce for the judges.
Jay’s team won the prize for fundraising by raising over $130,000. Jay is also on the Fleur de Que shoulder team, which placed 4th of the 85 teams that participated for their pulled pork.
