November 13, 2014
Hilton Americas-Houston
We hope you are hungry! The Jones Walker LLP State & Local Tax team is back with a day-long program on November 13, 2014, titled Cooking with SALT: Key Ingredients Impacting State & Local Tax Issues. The team will cook up some of your favorites in the morning, including state and local tax procedure, contracts auditors, and seasoning your contracts with SALT.
In the afternoon breakout sessions, attendees will “choose their entrees,” depending on whether you have a hunger for sales/use tax or want a taste of income/franchise tax.
As lagniappe, we will also be peppering in some property tax discussions and diving into SALTy Mississippi issues of note. We will then pull it all together with a “cook-off” in the form of an appellate court oral argument. For dessert, we will end the program with some hot topics and open up the kitchen for your questions.
Featured speakers include Jones Walker attorneys: Jay Adams, Bill Backstrom, Andre Burvant, John Fletcher, Katie Friel, Matt Mantle, and Kim Robinson. Kevin Richard, Louisiana Department of Revenue, will serve as the lunch session speaker.
